Quench Boiler
Quench boiler, located between carbon black reactor and air preheater, could absorb heat of carbon black smoke between 1250℃ and 950℃. It is used to produce steam, which could bear the required steam with power generating boilers. It could also increase power generation amount, selling of steam, meanwhile, it could also decrease the amount of required cooling water.
Quench boiler adopts double pipes structure that consists of vertical inner tube and outer tube. Carbon black gas of high temperature flows through the inner tube while water boil-off between annular spaces of tubes. Water-steam cycle belongs to nature circulation that is safe and reliable.
According to the pressure of saturated steam, there are two kinds of structural styles in the end of double pipes structure: One is fixed type, which means inner tube welding with outer tube sheet and outer tube welding with inner tube sheet. This structure is used in low-pressure quench boilers, which is easier manufacturing. The other one is Schmidt type which means the end of double pipes weld to the oval or round pick-up tube. The oval or round pick-up tube looks like elastic tube sheet absorbing expansion difference between the outer tube and inner tube that can be overhauled and replaced.
